Jody Mow had a serious career change in the spring of 1998. After a long career as a public school music teacher, church choir director, and private voice and piano tutor, she became interested in health, fitness, and wellness due to the death of her father from cancer. It was quite a jump from a no-risk employee of the state to a business franchise owner, and she has never looked back. She built a nationwide business and earned the top position with Juice Plus+ in 4-1/2 years. In 2000, she became a Certified Fitness Specialist, and has helped many people change their bodies from the inside out.
She balances family, business, and ministry. She and her late husband Bob have 6 children between them, 7 grandchildren, ages 22-1 and one on the way! Jody enjoys traveling, Bible Study, good books, and food!
Jody learned from her mother how to prepare a meal at any time with whatever you have in the pantry and refrigerator. She loves to cook for friends and family. With the new emphasis on healthy lifestyle, she has changed from cinnamon rolls and roast beef to grilled salmon, roasted beets, and kale salad! (Yes, delicious!) And we still have cinnamon rolls on special occasions…
Jody has taught Bible Study in her home for over 15 years. It is a non- denominational group called Omega Outreach, for women of all ages and backgrounds. Many women come with no church or Bible Study experience, and have simply been invited by a neighbor or a friend. The group meets Wednesday mornings from 9:45-11:45, with music, prayer, study, friendship, fellowship and food!
As a child growing up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Jody learned the value of family, and of higher education. Both her mother and father were teachers, her mom at a one- room country school in southern Kansas, and her father, a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University, and later in Columbia Missouri. There was never any doubt that Jody, her sister Janice, and her brother Kevin would attend and graduate from college. They had a close family, learned to sing and harmonize while driving on vacations every summer all over the United States. (No DVDs or Video games back then.)
Jody is ready to start a new chapter in her life. Follow her as she travels, teaches, and talks on her blog and social media sites.
